Deep and beguiling in the glass, this vintage of Barolo Brunate shows the intrigue that is such a central theme in wines from this great site. Rose petal, violet and lavender notes open up in the glass, followed by dark red stone fruits, spices, menthol and tobacco. Broad, firm tannins provide the framework, but this is an unusually polished, young Brunate that is quite impressive, even at this early stage. The texture, breath and layered finish is pure Brunate.
