The vineyards of Volpaia are among the highest in Chianti. Their Chianti Classico is characterized by elegance and finesse with a rich bouquet of red fruits and spices. Black-cherry and orange-peel aromas and flavors. Some lead pencil and slate, too. It’s medium-bodied with fine tannins and firm acidity, which adds verve and tension to the wine.
