On the surface this looks like a solid, conventional single malt, and in many ways it is. But that fact makes the reasons this whisky tastes so unique even more distinctive. Made from malted barley and double distilled in copper pots prior to aging in Bourbon, French Wine and Pedro Ximenez Sherry Casks and bottled at a respectable, normal bottling proof. However, the barley is not just any barley. For this whisky it is 6 Row Indian Barley grown in Rajasthan for centuries, hand harvested and hand selected for malting. The aging environment in most of India, creates something almost in between a tropically aged rum and a classic single malt, making it distinctively Indian. The combination of malt, tropical notes, spices and more make this very exciting additions to this now global category and well worth your while.
